Centinela Feed
This poster/print project was created for pet store chain, Centinela Feed to raise awareness for one of the fastest growing health problems for dogs today, canine obesity.
I was an art director on the Saatchi & Saatchi LA team working on this campaign.
One in four dogs is overweight. This is a pretty staggering figure and sadly many dog owners are blind to the fact that their dogs are overweight. Canine obesity can cause or worsen musculoskeletal problems, cardiovascular issues, and glucose tolerance imbalances. It also weakens the immune system and increases the risk of arthritis, diabetes, and breathing problems. Canine lifespan has been extended by as much as two years when dogs are kept at a healthy weight.
We learned that the food your dog eats plays a very important role in their overall health and well-being. Along with exercise, a low-fat and low-calorie food is essential in helping your dog lose weight and stay fit. Switching dog foods could actually help save dogs lives. Seeing the familiar in-shape hunting dog as obese made an immediate connection with dog owners, who then went on to purchase the healthier alternative dog food Centinela Feed was promoting.
